Preston Group is a large construction company based in Australia and in the United Stated. Preston specialises in scaffolding solutions and crane products. When TechFlare got involved with Preston their IT requirement was somewhat basic covering a single site. Over time this requirement grew and required a more managed services approach including handling –
As the business grew the number of branches and remote offices grew including remote users travelling around. This meant solving issues in different time zones and working with staff to ensure critical services like emails were up and running. Management services within the business had some changes over a short period of time so communication became a critical component of this relationship to ensure that projects and jobs were monitored and updates were regular.
During this time of working with Preston TechFlare consulted with Preston management and built an web application for them to handling asset tracking and renting out equipment. This application took over 3 months to develop and there was a number of meetings to ensure the project was completed within required time frames.
