THE CHALLENGE


During 2013, TechFlare began working with Kel Campbell to implement new technologies, beginning with a Hosted Server platform to house a new CRM. The current platform was ageing and with a need for reliance on local hardware becoming outdated, a new landscape was required.

With the success of the hosted CRM, further movement of applications from local infrastructure was required for security, longevity and growth whilst providing a solid foundation for business growth. Seamless connectivity of 5 remote sites was another challenge that TechFlare worked closely with Kel Campbell to manage whilst also providing scope for additional sites to be added to the network.

Migration of email was the next project that TechFlare managed for Kel Campbell. Remote connectivity, redundancy and security were are high priorities for email and a hosted email solution was deemed the most suitable.

The Solution


TechFlare began from the ground up and implemented a private network which then formed the solid platform on which to build a robust infrastructure. Hosted servers were provisioned and configured using TechFlare’s expertise while continuing close liaison with both software vendors and Kel Campbell. This allowed the ISV to build their application in a secure and accessible environment and develop a positive, collaborative relationship with TechFlare in the process.

The next challenge was to connect all the remote petrol stations to the head office network. TechFlare worked closely with Kel Campbell and Telstra to bring together this solution. We worked through issues together and achieved a strong end result. Due to the ageing hardware and software technology at Kel Campbell, a move to Office 365 for email was the next step forward. TechFlare managed this project for email migration with minimal downtime and disruption to business with an excellent end result.

Since the relationship began, Kel Campbell required a partner who can deliver ongoing managed services to remove the day to day issues from the company director. TechFlare has delivered and continues to build managed services into the business model, enabling Kel Campbell to achieve their growth goals and successful vision.
