Eastbrooke is a group of Medical Centres with a head office in Western Sydney with sites across Australia. TechFlare was originally awarded the project to develop the company’s website, which was completed, however shortly after TechFlare was brought in to discuss IT solutions. The initial brief was quote on 2 sites that were being commissioned both in Sydney and Melbourne. TechFlare consulted on the project and developed a solution that was not only suitable for the existing requirements but also compatible with a longer term solution that TechFlare put to the group. TechFlare won a managed services contract for both sites with the agreement to bring across other sites over time as suitable to the group. The solution covered –
After a very challenging time working with distribution and 3rd parties TechFlare managed to rollout the initial site. Part of these challenges were international stock shortage on printing equipment which was critical to the solution and also the clients site which was still under building development.
After completing the setup at both sites TechFlare went through a brief period of time of headaches where power problems at the initial site caused failure of equipment and problems with battery backups. Worse still after a corruption in a 3rd parties software that caused the site to go down TechFlare had to come up with a manual work around whilst working with Microsoft and the 3rd party provider to find a resolution. During this course of time, over 50 hours of work was completed by 2 employees over the weekend to ensure the site was running during business hours and the business was not impacted.
Those “hiccups” aside TechFlare is looking forward to tweaking and optimising its services to the client whilst implementing and bringing on the other sites. Critical to success with this client is the relationship with 3rd parties and key personnel to ensure communication flows correctly and transparently.
