Befree is an Accountancy Practice offering professional accounting and book keeping services. Befree’s representatives approached TechFlare a few years ago to discuss a hosting solution which would allow a unique service to the market providing cutting edge services via a hosted platform. This including the use of MYOB and Quickbooks under a terminal services environment.
TechFlare provides this client with a number of services including –

• Hardware and Software Procurement
• Hosting and Domain Name Services

This solution on the face of it appeared to be relatively straight forward however the challenges opened up when licensing complexities appeared and then a number of issues appeared as Windows Updates caused problems with the software. Furthermore education and support of the client and the client’s client became at times difficult due to interacting with 3 parties and also the application support teams which weren’t familiar with this type of solution as a whole.

After several difficult weeks TechFlare worked with the client and third parties to work through these issues to provide a service to the client and ensure no functioning delivered to the end user was affected. As an ongoing process we have managed this solution for the client including creating users, assisting end users and managing the complex licensing process with the licensing body.
